Genres I would like to research.

Our film has many factors that can be considered when classifying it under a genre. With plans to show dramatic plot twists, action, and suspense, this film will allow me to explore all the possible genres that might relate to it. These are the three genres that we want to research, and advance our knowledge in before continuing with the planning of our film.

Drama: I want to research genre because I believe it directly correlates to the plot twist we plan to execute in our film. With character development and dramatic scenes, it is important to have an understanding of what makes a film dramatic to an audience. Going into specifics like emotion (anger, sadness, excitement) can also give our group insight on how to make our film more dramatic and impactful to the audience. Hence, this is why we want to research this genre.

Thriller: I want to research this genre because it allows our group to correctly execute climaxes. Having an understanding about this genre will also allow our team to be more creative in how we display our film. Learning about what makes an audience thrilled and in suspense will help us give our audience content that will keep them on the edge of their seat. Hopefully wanting more and more out of our film. essentially, we are researching this genre to keep it from being "boring" or "underwhelming." This is crucial when developing or film.

Fantasy: Films with fictional themes. It usually involves magic, supernatural events, creatures, or exotic fantasy worlds. The genre is considered to be distinct from science fiction films and horror films. However, the genres do overlap. This would be an interesting genre to use for our short story, I cant wait to do more research on these topics!
