Finishing up with the filming!
Today marked the final day of our filming journey! I was supposed to have more filming day scheduled with my group. However, it didnt work out out due to implications and overlaps in our schedules. So, I chose a free day (today), and made sure that my group had more than enough time to finish the shots. After only having the beginning introduction to our film so far, my group had a lot of work to do. So, I found our desired spot at the park, and started to set up the next scene. The next scene would introduce the bullies, or the antagonist. I got our actors that were playing the bullies ready to shoot, by giving them their costumes and props. Next, I set up the camera, as I was filming for the day. After the camera was set up I took my first take of this scene. Surprisingly, this scene only took one take! The weather conditions were optimal, with little to no wind, and zero percent chance of rain. This allowed the filming process to go by much smoother, and more efficient. After filming the first scene, I relocated the equipment and got the area ready for the next scene. This is when my group had to overcome a road block. I filmed on a weekend, this meant it was a busy day at the park. So, this scene took a couple of takes due to other citizens. Often, other by standers would walk directly through the shot, this required multiple takes. However, I am very happy with how all the shots turned out. After I finished filming the short film, I double checked each shot to make sure they were perfect. It was! Every shot matched my groups expectations. Overall, today was a very successful day of filming, and hopefully the editing will go just as smooth!
