introduction blog!!

 

Hey! My name is Charles Worth and I'm so excited to continue my experience in filming through to this final task! This is an update on my journey in media! I'm looking forward to putting all of my knowledge from prior blogs forward to this final task. I'm also hopeful for the final task, i believe my preparation for it has truly paid off. I feel as if i have improved greatly over this course. In specific, My ability to edit videos has really improved since editing for the commercial and music video. I also know that I'm a much better filmier which will help going into this final task. Again, I'm so excited to make it to the final product so I can really see how much I've improved in the media industry. Another aspect that I believe will contribute to this final task is my ability to work as a team. I love to contribute ideas about our product which I know will help me final task be the best it possibly can. I'm also am a bit apprehensive unto making this final task. I'm hoping that everything goes smoothly with little to no hiccups. I believe that i'm mentally and physically ready to make the scenes and plan them. With the help of my team I'm positive that in the end our final task will be great! Since my last project, I've been reviewing conventions. This will also aid me in using the right angles. As i further research the genre's for the final task, i am excited to see the different conventions used in each. I'm also extremely excited to be able to bond with my group and make even more friendships through this journey. So, this is a little about me, and how i feel going into this final task.

storyboard and scenes for the music video.

  Scene 1: In this scene, me and my group will film an actor, lying in bed as an alarm clock goes off, this is then when the song will start. this will be an extreme close up shot. Scene 2: After scene one, the next scene will take place in the kitchen of a group mates house, here breakfast will be served and it will start the day. breakfast will include items such ass eggs, bacon, and juice. this will be a eye level shot. that will pan into an extreme close up of the food. Scene 3: In scene 3, my group will film two actors walking around frost park talking, and simply catching up about their day, we will be sure to include happy facial expressions to show the meaning of the song. this will be a wide shot Scene 4: For scene 4, the basketball will be introduced, at the gateway of the basketball court at the park, where an actor will be questioning, "who will we playing basketball with today". this will also be a wide shot. Genre research : (comedy)

       The first genre that our group chose is comedy. Here are the common camera angles, mis-en-scene, sounds, editing. As well as some example films. Common Angles: There are many different angles that are widely used in the comedy genre. To start, commonly extreme close ups as well as close up shots are used. These shots are usually shown to help the audience understand or grasp on the humor portrayed by facial expressions, and reactions from the subjects on the film. Furthermore, other angles are widely seen in comedy, like wide shots. Wide shots are used mainly to fit a large gathering into one shot, and by doing this it opens the door to group comedy, and other characters to fit into the scene or story play. Finally, the last common camera angle that we see a lot in this genre is eyeline shots. An eyeline shot in comedy is the subjects way to often tell the audience directly, the joke or line being said.
