Final day of Editing.

Today wrapped up a rough day of editing. The first half of the editing was finished, so I only had to finish the last half. I started by again, going through the basics like adding simple cuts between the clips. Using simple cuts keeps the attention on the film and not the editing which is the goal. This is why me and my group decided on a conservative edit to our opening sequence. After the cuts, it was time to add the sound. I once again used royalty free music that I found on you tube. I was surprised that the music was very good, and realistic. The music not only properly reassembled our genre but also put the audience on edge, using suspense. I added the music in the important parts of the film where a key event with little dialogue occurs. After this all that was left was to add the titles as well as title image. I used the same font for the titles, a conservative smaller bold text. For the title slide, I used a bold, bright color bigger text with a nice back round to convey the film genre. I reviewed the clips to make sure that the film was smooth. There was a problem with a portion that was choppy. It unfortunately needed to be re-exported but the good news was it wasn't anything wrong with the actual editing. This is what I did to wrap up the film!
