A complicated day of editing.

Today was my first day of editing my music video, since all of my groups filming was complete. To, start, i needed to make sure the version of our song was clean. Also, I planned on only using certain portions of the song, and combining them together and make it as seem less as possible. SO, that's exactly what i did, i picked out the parts of the song that matched our scenes, and put them together, making sure that the notes still fell on the same beat, and carried the same rhythm. Next, I planned on editing the first six scenes, or first half of the music video. I first picked out which transitions to use for which scenes that i liked. for the most part, I chose simple, cut scenes however I used a false for the beginning, and plan to use a fade out for the end when i get there. Also, for the second scene, I wanted the colors to be more bright and vibrant, so I edited the picture to reflect such. I realized the music was a little low, and it was a music video, to i turned the volume on the score up. Also, half way through editing, i noticed that the scenes themselves had sounds, i made sure to mute this. At this point, i was ready to move on to more detailed editing now that the frame for my first six scenes was done. I messed around with the length of some clips, and shorten some of them to fit the time frame we needed. I also fixed the song, and edited out a part that used too much time and was unnecessary. Even further, i wanted to see how the music video will look if the song was slightly slowed or sped-up, but i decided to keep the same speed for the song. Next, i came across an issue when editing. I realized how hard it actually was to match the song lyric, with the action in the scene perfectly. I really had to mess around with the length of the clips a lot to overcome this problem. Finally, today in the editing i exported what i had so far so nothing was lost. I was also very proud of my group and what they did to help edit. This is what i did on my first day of editing!!
