An introduction about me!


 Hey! My name is Charles worth, and I'm in AICE Media studies(AS level). This is an introduction, and where I will continue to be posting all of my blogs throughout the year. I'm so excited to be creating a new piece of media, and blogging about my journey. I've always loved media, and watching films so it is going to be a great experience making more of them. I also have some experience in editing which will also help me get through some film projects. Editing is also another reason why i wanted to take this media class. Not only can i improve my editing skills by taking this class, i can also improve filming, acting, and overall knowledge about media. I've already learned a lot this year in media studies, and i hope to put that knowledge to use. part of what I have learned so far are the terms of media. Learning about different camera angles, cuts, and scenes can help me produce media to the best of my ability. Also, learning about these terms can help me apply this knowledge to everyday life. for example, when I watch a film, I can recognize different angles, and cut scenes! which is also another huge reason why media studies can benefit me, as well as our world. moreover, i also feel that because i love watching movies, TV shows, skits, vlogs and more, i think that will drive my knowledge, and keep me engaged throughout the year. I'm so excited to start filming and applying my knowledge to these films. Even if I go through technical difficulties when it comes to filming, editing, etc I can learn from them. Media studies has lots to offer and help with the overall genre. i'm just an overall movie contour and cant wait to start filming. storyboard and scenes for the music video.

  Scene 1: In this scene, me and my group will film an actor, lying in bed as an alarm clock goes off, this is then when the song will start. this will be an extreme close up shot. Scene 2: After scene one, the next scene will take place in the kitchen of a group mates house, here breakfast will be served and it will start the day. breakfast will include items such ass eggs, bacon, and juice. this will be a eye level shot. that will pan into an extreme close up of the food. Scene 3: In scene 3, my group will film two actors walking around frost park talking, and simply catching up about their day, we will be sure to include happy facial expressions to show the meaning of the song. this will be a wide shot Scene 4: For scene 4, the basketball will be introduced, at the gateway of the basketball court at the park, where an actor will be questioning, "who will we playing basketball with today". this will also be a wide shot. Genre research : (comedy)

       The first genre that our group chose is comedy. Here are the common camera angles, mis-en-scene, sounds, editing. As well as some example films. Common Angles: There are many different angles that are widely used in the comedy genre. To start, commonly extreme close ups as well as close up shots are used. These shots are usually shown to help the audience understand or grasp on the humor portrayed by facial expressions, and reactions from the subjects on the film. Furthermore, other angles are widely seen in comedy, like wide shots. Wide shots are used mainly to fit a large gathering into one shot, and by doing this it opens the door to group comedy, and other characters to fit into the scene or story play. Finally, the last common camera angle that we see a lot in this genre is eyeline shots. An eyeline shot in comedy is the subjects way to often tell the audience directly, the joke or line being said.
