Props- We decided to do Nike, so the props for our commercial include Nike products and sport related items. This includes a football, a volleyball, and many Nike sportswear items.
Costumes- A lot of our props are the costumes. Since Nike is a clothing brand, our commercial must have clothing props. All actors will wear a huge amount of Nike to represent the brand. Also, the actors will be running and performing athletic activities so show the durability and confidence of Nike.
Schedule-
On 09/24/21, we will create the outline for the commercial
On 9/24/21, we will create the drawings(storyboard) for the commercial
On 10/06/21, we will film and decide which cuts and shots we need to take
On 10/08/21, we will edit and add music and the logo at the end of the commercial.
On 10/10/21, we will finalize the commercial and submit.
Location- Our location will be the track field and the gym. At the track field, we will film our actor throwing a football with full Nike gear on. And at the gym, we will film our other actor playing volleyball. This will show emphasis on Nike products and how they help you stay on top of your game. Using two sports shows the viewer that wearing and using Nike products during play helps you perform at your best.
Backup plan- Something could go wrong with filming. If something does go wrong like the weather or goes wrong with filming it we will try to convert the commercial to be filmed inside or under a roof. We could still do action shots under the main roof near the Media Center. If we needed to go inside we could film gym shots or in a big classroom.
First scene: During the first scene, we are going to keep an extreme close-up angle of the subjects' feet, and slowly pan upwards to capture the Nike clothing the subject is wearing, until we get to around his shirt.
Second scene: The second scene will show a Medium-long shot of the subjects Nike shirt, the camera will also catch a football in frame in the subject's hand, implying that the subject is going to throw the football
Third scene: the third scene will be a bit more complicated; it will show the subject in slow-motion throwing the football towards the opposite end of the field. A tracking shot will follow the football through the air.
Fourth scene: In the fourth scene the camera will be cut to Nike knee pads on the actor in the gym, preparing to play in the Nike gear. This will be an establishing clip.
Fifth scene: For the fifth scene we be doing a wide shot of our actor playing volleyball. We will have extra focus on the use of the knee pads. A tracking shot will follow the actor to her knees while hitting the volleyball. We want to provide emphasis on the player working hard in the Nike gear.
Sixth scene: For the sixth scene, we will provide a shot of the logo to complete the commercial.
*Each scene will last about 5-6 seconds and will have background music and editing.
