The final product

 Today was the wrap up of my commercial assignment! I'm so proud of all my hard work, and my teammates and I did such a great job for my first time. This was definitely a great experience and something I would look forward too to do again. My favorite part of this experience was using everything I learned about film, like angles and editing uses and incorporating them into my project. I thought it was also so much fun to be active outside, and have fun while making a commercial about a product. I hope our commercial inspires people to be active with NIKE because at the end of the day that's the goal. Finally, i also loved editing the commercial. I thought it was neat to see all my working filming coming together into one piece of work. I'm excited to move on to the next project, and to keep updated and blogging. This is the final product!

Genre research : (comedy)

       The first genre that our group chose is comedy. Here are the common camera angles, mis-en-scene, sounds, editing. As well as some example films. Common Angles: There are many different angles that are widely used in the comedy genre. To start, commonly extreme close ups as well as close up shots are used. These shots are usually shown to help the audience understand or grasp on the humor portrayed by facial expressions, and reactions from the subjects on the film. Furthermore, other angles are widely seen in comedy, like wide shots. Wide shots are used mainly to fit a large gathering into one shot, and by doing this it opens the door to group comedy, and other characters to fit into the scene or story play. Movie Conventions research: Death Wish (remake)

 For the first movie that our group researched, we chose a thriller called "Death Wish." Here are some conventions that we found in the blog that we liked, did not like, and overall conventions that we would use in our film. Conventions that we liked: There was a lot of conventions used in this film that our group likes. To start, a lot of the angles used have underlining purpose. For example, the antagonist in this film are usually represented with a low angle that shows them having power over another subject. To give the film a more modern feel, the costumes worn during the duration was more modern, casual clothing which is something that my group actually liked. Props were also fairly basic, hand guns were used through rising actions because they always give the audience a sense of fear, of suspense, which we liked.
