Who i am and group members.


 My group consists of four members. Charles worth(me), Nicholas Pearlman, Ava Kanter, and Wren Ruby. i will be doing this year will involve editing. not only do i have experience in editing, I thoroughly enjoy it. I think a great actor/ stunt man can be nick. nick is very athletic which can help with product commercials. For example, nick can throw a football 50 yards, and Gatorade is advertised to help athletes "cool off" hence why nick can be good for this scenario. Nick is also a great filmier. Ava is great with the camera. She can find captivating angles, and use them to portray whatever the product is useful for. Ava is also a very good planner, she knows what props to get, when to get them. Ava also doesn't procrastinate so she will keep our team on track and where we need to be. Finally, Wren is a great all around team member, she is great at keeping us up to date on what's new with film, and what needs to be done. She's overall a great actor. Wren is also great behind the camera, and can use different angles like the Dutch angle, or over the shoulder. Wren finally can help the team with edits, she knows how to properly cut and combine clips to make seamless transitions and great film. overall I'm very happy with my team. i feel we will do great things as far as producing film. I'm very excited to start making numerous genres and different kinds of film. Shoots like commercials, music videos, or vlogs are all things my team will perform strongly in. The short film watched today was "bus 44" which is a film about a bus which gets robbed on the road and turns to a dramatic ending. It takes place in another country, which makes it have another language. I looked thorough all the elements in the film and here is what I found. Common Sound in the film The most common sounds in the genre are the diegetic sound and dialogue. All the sounds in short film originate from the story world. The sounds do help make the film because even with no music you can still feel the emotion and dramatic turn in the story. The lack of sound if anything adds more which makes the film even more drama filled. The sound, while lacking, is still really good.   Common Mis-En-Scene (CLAMPS) in the film the common CLAMPS in the film are props, costumes, and acting. How do your products represent social groups or issues?   My short film about bullying and the process of overcoming this hardship seen in our world today represents many important social issues related to bullying, self-esteem, and the power that supportive groups have on the individual. My production depicts the story of a widespread problem faced in our society today . By representing the social “outcasts” in our world, my film has given a positive message to wards helping individuals overcome their demanding situations . Genres I would like to research.

  Our film has many factors that can be considered when classifying it under a genre. With plans to show dramatic plot twists, action, and suspense, this film will allow me to explore all the possible genres that might relate to it. These are the three genres that we want to research, and advance our knowledge in before continuing with the planning of our film. Drama: I want to research genre because I believe it directly correlates to the plot twist we plan to execute in our film. With character development and dramatic scenes, it is important to have an understanding of what makes a film dramatic to an audience. Going into specifics like emotion (anger, sadness, excitement) can also give our group insight on how to make our film more dramatic and impactful to the audience.
