Music in the production process!
Today I picked out what kin of music that our group was going to use in our film. I wanted something that portrayed the overall idea of the movie. We chose music that put the audience in suspense, thrill, and captured their attention for the entire opening sequence. To start, I chose music to open up the opening sequence. This helped with the establishing shot, and set the tone of the beginning of the film. Our group also wanted our music to not be too suspenseful, because the shots are mainly introduction, with highlights to the credits. So i chose to use only thrilling sound when necessary. Our group is using non-copywrited music. Since no artists go back to us on confirmation to use their audio, we had to make do! Also, we chose music from two different songs. Since there is a lot of dialect in the opening sequence, I did not want any music to override the actors speech. Hence, we chose songs that laid a great back round to the dialect. Although, there will be times when only the audio is playing. This will be when a significant even happens and there isn't any music playing. Our group found most of our non-copywrited music on YouTube, and it was a great tool to use for our film! I am also very excited to start our production with music selection and where to incorporate the sound! I feel another tip on getting the music just right will to touch it up in editing. Nevertheless, the music we chose captures our theme, and tone of the film. This is the music we chose to put in our film. We are excited to start the production process!
