my music video.

 This was my groups second project and it by far my favorite one. Looking back, I've noticed how much my skills improved from shooting to acting to editing. I'm very happy with the result, and the hard work that my group put into the project. Hopefully with hard work, the future will hold great improvement for overall media. This is my music video.

  Short film: My first impression of this short film was a bit strange. I felt like the post-apocalyptic earth with mechanical creatures and animals made the film have a strange sci-fi feel. However, the meaning behind the plot regarding humans and machines, or what makes people alike in certain ways was shown when the other eight rag dolls emerged from the dead. The lack of speech or diction in this film also aided towards the meaning behind his film in regards to what makes us all alike. It is also cool to learn and relate to a character without even hearing them talk. Conventions  used are an abundance of low and high angles, to show the antagonists power over 9, yet also eyeline shots are used to show emotion in such characters. how to make a short film research

  What is your takeaway from the video? This was a great video to watch right before my group and I start really planning our short film. Out of the many key points that I’ll remember, I think my main takeaway was about planning. In the video, the speaker starts off explaining why planning is so crucial. Planning ahead of filming is good because it sets a firm foundation for your short film. The speaker says that to write a good short film, you have to write what you can “pull-off”. This means that you have to plan and write in according to your budget and resources that are at your disposal. This will alleviate the stress that will come from not being able to carry out the short film properly or as planned.  What good information did you gather while watching it? We received so many good information as well as tips for making our short film. Title: Short Film Research: The Last Three Minutes/ Drama

  Common Sound in your genre Abrupt sounds were uses throughout the film. Melodic sounds were also used. This creates a soft but also engaging contrast to the film. The sounds used in this short film created an air-y atmosphere. This gives the audience the impression that the main character is reminiscing but also living through the events.  Common Mis-En-Scene (CLAMPS) in your genre The outfits of the characters in their designated scenes fit the settings. In one scene, one can see parents outside. The sun is bright and they are wearing countryside attire. Additionally, all the props fit the scenes except one outlier- the crystal shard.  Common Editing in your genre The short film slowly transitions to other scenes. This gives the audience a sense of peace. Watching the main character’s memories gently drifts by tells the audience that he is at peace.
